Cross-border specialist SG Link has joined the Amilo network and now trades as ShipX, giving the merchants we serve one route from a home warehouse shelf to a customer in 200+ destinations.

SINGAPORE, 15 September 2026 — This month we completed and integrated our fourth acquisition in four years. The latest addition, cross-border specialist SG Link, now trades as ShipX, extending our network to 200+ destinations for the small and mid-sized merchants across Southeast Asia we work with every day.

We've now run this deal four times, and by this point it says more about how we intend to grow than about any single transaction.

A playbook, not a shopping list

We don't inherit the systems that come with an acquisition. We look for regional operators with something real underneath — a customer base, a licence, a lane, a capability that would take years to build from scratch — and we take on the work of fixing or scaling whatever sits on top. Each one gets migrated onto the technology we already own and run: a single stack covering marketplaces, order management, warehouse, transport, customs and delivery management.

Some of the businesses we've acquired needed turning around. Others needed a bigger network to grow into. What they have in common isn't the condition we found them in — it's where they end up: on the same rails, contributing to one operation instead of sitting beside it on an org chart.

That choice compounds. Every integration is cheaper and faster than the one before it, because the destination never changes.

"We have now proven our acquisition, integration and turnaround story four times in four years. With heavy AI usage across all functions, the platform keeps getting more robust — and we are extending it across the commerce and distribution space."

What our exporters were missing

Southeast Asia has millions of small and mid-sized businesses with something worth selling abroad. Very few can actually do it. The constraint isn't demand, it's operational: destination-specific customs documentation, landed duties that can't be quoted reliably in advance, limited visibility once a shipment leaves the country, and freight rates built for volumes far bigger than most exporters can offer.

ShipX was built to close exactly that gap, and has operated out of Vietnam since 2020. It handles the cross-border leg for merchants too small to command their own freight terms — pooling volume so a modest shipment moves on economics closer to a large one, and keeping documentation, duties and tracking in one place instead of scattered across brokers and portals.

"SG Link, now ShipX, is an amazing team. Their knowledge of complex cross-border processes is a core pillar of our strategy of helping millions of ASEAN SMEs expand globally. Despite fuel-price and tariff-war pressure, our teams have come together very well and delivered positive growth in the first half of this year."

What's next: intelligence, and more acquisitions

We think the hard part is behind us. Warehouses, fleets, licences and border processes had to be built and bought the slow way, and that work is largely done. Two things sit on top of that finished infrastructure: our ability to absorb more acquisitions, and a data and technology stack that lets our customers benefit from the current wave of AI.

We intend to push AI into the decisions and agents across a merchant's day-to-day value chain — but only on top of an operation that already runs properly, since automating a broken process just makes it fail faster. The same logic applies inward: each future acquisition should integrate faster than the last, as more of the migration work becomes automated rather than manual.

About Amilo

Amilo is a third-party logistics provider built for Southeast Asian commerce, running warehousing and fulfilment alongside our own delivery fleet, all connected through a single proprietary platform spanning marketplaces, order management, warehouse, transport, customs and delivery management. We integrate with major marketplaces including Amazon, eBay and Shopify, and through ShipX we reach 200+ destinations cross-border. We've grown by acquiring regional logistics and technology businesses, turning them around or scaling them, and integrating them onto that platform. More at amilo.co.
